Countryside Community Church
held its first Sunday service on
December 5, 2004,
in the home of one of our founding members. Our first attendees shared a
common desire and purpose: to be a new church family for lower
Bucks County, meeting regularly to ...
•
know, love and worship God
according to His Word, the Bible, and through His Son, Jesus Christ,
•
help and encourage each other
as Christians,
in becoming more like Jesus, and
•
help each other reach out with the good news about Jesus to others
who are still living without Him.
We are similar
in our
teachings and practices to
many good Baptist churches, but we are not denominationally affiliated.

Summary of Our Beliefs & Practices.
During the
first six months, our new church was led by a membership-appointed council of seven
of our founding men. Then in May, 2005, Mike Otto became Countryside’s Pastor.
Mike was ordained and began his pastoral ministry in 1969. He is a
graduate of Florida Bible College (B.A.) and Dallas
Theological Seminary (M.A.B.S.). Before serving at Countryside, he
served on the staff of Florida Bible College, was a member of the Christian
vocal band known as the Spokesmen, and was a youth pastor for some
years in Florida and Pennsylvania. In 1977, Mike initiated and led in
the planting of a new local church in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where he
served as pastor for 27 years (until 2004). Pastor Mike and his wife,
Kaye, live in Langhorne. Their daughter, Lauren, a graduate of Lancaster
Bible College, serves vocationally as a children's ministry department director
on the staff of a Lancaster County church.

Sunday Mornings at Countryside
Our Sundays
begin at 9:00, with Sunday School classes for all ages,
including an
Adult Bible Fellowship,
a youth Bible class, age-appropriate children's classes, and
an infant-toddler Nursery. Before classes begin, some of
our youth and adults stop by the refreshments table to pick up a cup of coffee, tea, or
hot chocolate to take with them.
10:10-10:30 is a break and fellowship time, with coffee, tea and
hot chocolate
still being served.

Our
Worship Service begins at
10:30,
also with an infant-toddler Nursery
provided. Older children (through Grade 6) sit with their parents during the
musical, first part of the Worship Service, then, before the Pastor's message
from God's Word, they are dismissed to go to a special
Children’s Worship program. Visiting children may either sit with their
parents for the remainder of the service, or join in with others their age for a great time of making new
friends and age-appropriate worship and learning from God’s Word.
Monthly, on the first Sunday, we share Communion
in our morning service before the children are dismissed.
Our worship through music
is a blending of traditional hymns and contemporary choruses. It is led
by one of our men, Mark Hoeckele, who is assisted by a team of vocal and
instrumental musicians.
